About This Project

The creative process involved exploring various shapes that could meet the established goal:

Modular design: To allow scalability in implementation, depending on the restoration needs of each habitat. This feature, with its hexagonal base, enables the creation of a more complex ecosystem when multiple pieces are positioned side by side.
Refuge zones: Various refuge areas of different scales in both lower and upper sections to create safe spaces from predators. Tunnels are also incorporated into the overall design.
Microhabitats: The use of additive manufacturing technology allows for the creation of a surface texture generated by the printing layers themselves, providing ideal zones for the settlement of microorganisms and substrate-dependent species.
